Jürgen Döllner is working as a professor of computer science at the University of Potsdam (C4 position, full professor) since 2001. At the Hasso-Plattner-Institute he is leading the division computer graphics and visualization. He received the Habilitation for computer science (venia legendi) in 2001. He obtained a Ph.D. in computer science at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics of the University of Muenster, Germany in 1996. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Siegen, Germany, from 1987-1992.

His research fields include: real-time 3D rendering and modeling, photorealistic and non-photorealistic rendering techniques, geo-virtual 3D environments, virtual city models, 3D cartography and 3D GIS. (www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/3d)
